Come along with Endeavour as we join RSPB at South Stack, looking out for resident sea birds as well as descovering some of Angleseys beautiful coast!
If you havent already visited South Stack, this is the perfect opportuinity. With its stunning views and reserve where rolling heathland and farmland meet rugged and rocky sea cliffs. Facing South Stack island and the Irish Sea beyond, the cliffs are a vital breeding ground for Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins in spring. The rare Chough can be seen swooping along the cliffs all year round.
This trip also offers a good mix of interests for both people interested more in wildlife, and those interested in the geology of our coasts.
So come along, and don't forget your binos! (Although we're sure there may be spares)
Time:
Location: Please meet at Bar Uno at 11:45. Our expected return time is 16:30.
What should I bring?:
- Warm and sensible clothing!: even if its a nice day when you set off, windchill and the changeable Welsh weather can soon cause it to become chilly (having extra layers is better than not having enough!)
- Food and drink: exploring can be tiresome work, having some snacks as well as possbily a flask of something warm can make this much more enjoyable
- Money: there is a gift shop and cafe!
