How to get outside, Cwm Idwal walk…

How to get outside is a series of events to help you learn some of the basics of safely going into Eryri. This walk is the Cwm Idwal loop. It is a 5km circuit of Llyn Idwal starting at Ogwen cottage. This walk is beginner friendly and is designed for people who are new to hiking and anyone who wants to discover Eryri for the first time. We will be accompanied by an Eryri national park ranger who will talk about local fauna, flora and geology.

Packing list:

Hiking boots or shoes or trainers with good tread

A waterproof jacket

A warm layer like a fleece or puffer jacket

A spare layer in your bag

Water and snacks

A backpack to put layers, water and snacks into.
