We're excited to host our annual Conservation Short Talks! Attending this event is a great opportunity to meet people working within the sector, learn more about current challenges, local projects and volunteering opportunities. 

The North Wales River Trust, North Wales Wildlife Trust and RSPB are excited to deliver 3 short talks, with the opportunity for questions at the end. Staff often stick around after for a chat, making it a great place to network!

Our Habitat Conservation Project and Freshwater Conservation Club work closely with the partners attending, so it's a great place to learn more about the opportunities you can get involved in through the us, but also their wider work and opportunities. 

Whether you're studying a relevant degree, would like to work in conservation or have a passion for the environment or volunteering, this event isn't one to miss!

North Wales River Trust 

Oisin Lowe-Sellers, Senior Communication and Engagement Officer/ Menai Strait Partnership Forum Co-ordinator. 

The North Wales Rivers Trust is dedicated to protecting and restoring clean, healthy rivers and lakes across North Wales, while addressing their impact on the wider catchment. From hands-on river restoration to advocacy for better water quality, we work with local communities to make a difference. Come and discover how you can get involved in our exciting projects, including the Swimways project, where we use snorkel surveys to monitor river health and aquatic life up close. Whether you're passionate about conservation, want to learn about issues facing our catchments and local area, or are simply curious about how to help protect your local waterways, this is your chance to dive in!

North Wales Wildlife Trust  

North Wales Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. We manage 35 nature reserves in North Wales with the support of our members and hard work of our volunteers and also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live. We provide volunteering opportunities on our many nature reserves and through our numerous projects to give people the chance to gain valuable skills and practical experience out in the outdoors – giving back to nature and helping preserve it for generations to come.
